Let It Snow...
Hi Guys!
I love reading, I can get through so many books at a time, recently I have been loving John Green books, yes I know, 'you only like John Green because of The Fault in Our Stars' but honestly, I had heard of John Green but didn't take any interest as he is described as a teen fiction writer, but after seeing 'The Fault in Our Stars' I thought I would purchase some of his books to read.
I did read Looking for Alsaka first but I want to read it again before I do a review of it, so I went shopping to my local WHsmith store and they had John Greens books on one shelf, also for offer, buy one and get one free, I do like me a bargain! Anyway, I'm going off tangent..I bought an Abundance of Katherines and Let It Snow. I found that I was drawn to Let it Snow as the cover is lovely and quite Christmassy, which I loved as I am a big Christmas fan! I was also interested by the name. (Photos will be at the bottom)
Let It Snow is written by a trio of authors, John Green, ,Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, I was a bit put off by the fact it wasn't purely written by John Green and I honestly haven't heard anything of these other authors. On the blurb what got my attention was;
'As the three stories collide, strangers cross path and romance blossoms with heart-warming consequences'
This is what got my attention, I presumed they would be writing the book together, but as I started reading I realised each author had written a small segment of a different story but they all join, I thought it was very clever, they all wrote about young love stories (which I love, I do love a good soppy love story) although I did find it hard to remember the names of each character when they crossed over into the other segments of the book, I found I couldn't put the book down, I had to find out who Jeb was looking for, and why Jubilee was still with her arrogant boyfriend whilst Stuart was obviously the right person for him. I'm not going to mention any more characters as it will ruin the book. I also found that the titles of the authors sections were clever and once you get into the book you understand the titles more.
To my surprise, out of the three writers I found Maureen Johnson's section the one I read the fastest, it was a page turner, don't get me wrong all of them were amazing but Maureen Johnson had the 'I don't want to put the book down' factor.
If you like a good romance story or want to discover more authors whilst reading from one of your favourite authors I do recommend this book, its heart warming, enjoyable and has some funny parts.
I hope you enjoyed my little not so review of 'Let It Snow' I am currently reading 'An Abundance of Katherines' and will write my views of that book also, and I hope to re-read 'Looking for Alsaka'
I know my blog is very strange with different subjects but I hope you enjoyed this and I will upload another blog later or tomorrow.

xoxo
