Makeup Update!

New Makeup Update.

Hi guys!

Obviously over birthdays/Christmas I got new makeup! So just for now I'm going to mention my three new faves!

For my 21st I got the Naked 2 Pallet, which, oh my god is glorious! As I have blue eyes the colours are perfect for my eye colour, The bronze looking colour makes my eye colour pop which also makes my eyes look wider! Recently as well I have been using the black to line to top of my eyes and half of the bottom as I can't wear too much makeup for work I think it doesn't look as harsh! I would honestly recommend buying this, its not cheap but its good quality and you get a good brush with it! Worth the money for sure!
(this is the look I was on about.)

Next I want to talk about another item I'm loving right now, currently to shape my eyebrows/fill them in, I have been using Soap and Glory Archery, and my God it is amazing, I got it for Christmas and I actually don't know what I did without it, it just makes my eyebrows look fuller and better shaped as my eyebrows are lacking (Over plucked as a teenager) The both ends are amazing, I use the felt tippy end most but both sides are amazing, this is also quite pricey for what it is, it is like Naked SO worth it.

(Chose from google)

Lastly I want to talk about my most FAVOURITE right now and thats the Urban Decay Revolution lipstick in number 69, I must admit I found it at first hard to apply, but once I sat down and got used to it I am in love, literally if I could wear it everyday I would. It leaves an amazing finish and doesn't easily come off, and I think its just perfect to be honest and makes my lips look awesome! Like the Urban Decay Naked 2 it is quite pricey coming in at £16.00 but for the product yet again it is so worth it!
So theres a quick update, and I would just like to say I hope you all have an awesome New Year and I'll be posting after new year of my 2014 favourites and my hopes for 2015!

Until we speak again!

Quick Skin Care Routine...

Skin Care Routine

Hi Guys!

So I'm just going to do a quick update, as I haven't really blogged in a long time, I'm sorry, I got a new puppy and a new job so everything is a bit CRAZY.

Anyway, I use Simple for my skin, I have really bad skin, either it been me breaking out in spots or reactions to any new creams I use.

So Simple is the best for me as it doesn't bring me out in anything!

First of all I have to use a makeup wipe to get like 80% of my makeup of, as I hate getting out of the bath/shower looking like the grudge, then I have a wash and use simple soap on my face especially if I have had loads of makeup on, it is just the thing for me to use on my face, then after I get out of the bath I then get another make-up wipe (Simple make-up wipes of course) just to wipe away any excess that comes off when I wash it, for example my waterproof eyeliner and mascara decides to prove it is indeed waterproof.

After I have finished with the make-up wipe I then get the Simple Toner (Green Bottle) and squirt some onto a make-up cotton pad the just wipe over all my face, it just gets rid of all the nasty things in my pores and makes my face free from any left over make-up and all the crap that the wind brings to m face when I'm out (As disgusting as that sounds, it true) after that I let my face dry from any excess toner and finish off putting Simple Cream on my face (The White Bottle) I find little is enough as it is quite greasy and will make your face oily if you use too much, but if you don't put too much on you will wake up with soft skin in the morning. In the morning after I've had a wash I just use the simple cream and let it dry before I put my makeup on.

Thanks for reading this guys!
I am aiming to make a little review/tips with my new Naked 2 Palette

Until next time

Mint Nail Salon.

Mint Nail Salon.

I went to a nail salon the other week and the woman absolutely, they used electric nail buffers, which kill when they use them except she kept 'slipping' and gong onto my skin which caused it to cut down the sides of my nails, I then went home for one of the nails to snap off, less than impressed.

So today me and my friend decided to treat ourselves and o and get our nails done, e booked ourselves into Mint Nail Salon, as soon as we got in there we were greeted with a smile and a lovely hello! The women who work there are lovely and so kind, I told the woman who was doing my nails what happened last week, and she said that they shouldn't have used the electronic buffer as they irritate the nails and sometimes cause them to inflame!

As she was doing my nails she was very chatty as was the woman doing my friends nails, she had some trouble with hers as they kept coming off, she was so apologetic and so lovely.

They also do other treatments such as 3D Eyebrows, waxing and threading, manicures, pedicures, and loads more, it is a high price for the treatments, but you know that your going to get the bet treatment possible and such lovely service!

This was only a short little review but I just advise anyone in Birmingham to go to their salon in Birmingham Town Centre! Or go on their website and see if there are any ones near where you live!

Anxiety Advice.

Advice on Anxiety..

Hi Guys!

As you may or may not know I suffer from anxiety, I have written about it in a previous blog, I just thought I'd let people know how I deal with either feeling anxious or having a panic attack or feel like I'm about to have a panic attack.

If I'm anxious I tend to be anxious about certain things coming up in the week, such as going out on my own or arranging something, I tend to be really precise with timing, which I have tried to keep under control at the moment, when I feel anxious I either put on some music that makes me happy and jolly or go for a quick 5-10 minutes to sit/stand in the garden just to get some fresh air and regain self control. I tend to listen to music that reminds me of a 'happy' time, like music that reminds me of something that makes me happy, this tends to calm me down and make me forget about the thing that was making me anxious, as I'm too busy dancing around my bedroom, so If you're feeling anxious do something that you enjoy, if its having a relaxing bath to dancing around your room, anything that you find helps and takes your mind off it

If I'm anxious about going out for the day I tend to take myself out to the back garden, this is just to surround myself with the noise of the traffic/people background noises, so children running around or loud lorries and cars going past, just so it doesn't make me jumpy when I am actually outside of the house. I also like going into the garden because I feel safe but its so nice to get a breath of fresh air and just to take some time out for me.

If I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack I will in all honesty go to either my Dad, Mom or Boyfriend, just so I know someone is there in case I do get too over whelmed, most of the time I won't tell them I'm going to have a panic attack but its some self comfort to know that someone is there if it does happen. If I'm actually having a panic attack I will count from 1-10 over and over again until I gain some self control, I did struggle when I had panic attacks in public as I felt like people were staring at me, which would make me self conscious and make me worse, but now I know how to feel, I feel that mental illness is more well known to most people so when they see me they're most probably thinking 'oh dear that girls having a panic attack not 'Oh my god, what on earth is wrong with that girl?!'

If you feel at all scared to do anything due to anxiety/panic attacks, try to find some self comfort be this anything you want, you don't have to tell anyone or you can tell the whole world! Whatever helps you, do it. You are your number one priority so treat yourself like it!

If you think you need any help, please get in touch with someone, I waited too long and have suffered missing out on loads of things due to this, I just want people to have the oppourtunity to do things without their anxiety holding them back unlike I did.

If you want to see any other advice, I do advise looking up 'Zoella' on YouTube, she is a well known youtuber with over 6 million subscribers and shes done two videos that have really helped me 'Just say yes' and 'dealing with anxiety/panic attacks' she goes into depth with these and they helped me find the confidence to help myself!

Please don't ever forget, you are loved, don't suffer in silence. I hope this has helped someone or a lot of people!

Sorry this is long winded but it is something I want to talk about.

Until next time!

21st Birthday!

21st Birthday!

Hi guys, I am so sorry I haven't blogged for ages, just been a little crazy at the moment with not having a job anymore and trying to do college work!

So heres a little update!

I turn 21 next Sunday woop! I'm having a joint birthday with my boyfriend and I thought I'd show you what I've got to wear!

After buying 2 previous dresses (very indecisive) and deciding I don't like them Luke went and let me order another dress as my present (pictured below, not the best photo I know)
I am SO in love with this dress, I got it off Boohoo.com I often shop on boohoo as they have really nice clothes for a decent price, I got bought some black heels from next for £30 I didn't get anything special shoe wise as the dress is long but I needed height!

I do advise anyone who wants a nice maxi dress/long party dress and are tall to look on the Boohoo website as they have amazing clothes and can choose delivery prices and times!

Once we've had our party I will put up a blog post about arranging it and organising it, I'm going shopping on Monday so I'll put up a little haul after that!

Hope you enjoyed my little update!
Till next time

Other Make-Up Products...

Other Make-Up Products I Use...

Hi Guys!

Here are some other makeup products I use, not on a day to day basis, but makeup I really rate.

Kate 01; I use this mostly when I go out for either meals or rare nights out, I really like this product, its easy to apply and is such a lovely colour, I got mine randomly when I didn't have a lipstick to go with my birthday dress last year, up until then I had never used red on my lips before, but now I love it, I think it just completes my makeup.

No7 Romantic; This is what I use if I fancy wearing any lipstick whilst going out for the day, like to town or meeting friends, its a natural colour but does make a lot of difference to my makeup, gives it a finished look, its also very easy to apply and leaves a nice look on my lips, like a glossy look.Usually these can be found at a local Boots store.

Rimmel London Exaggerate Eye Liner 01 Black; I use this when my gel eyeliner runs out and I haven't got anytime to go buy any, I use this as its so easy to apply to my eyes and its quick to do aswell, it stays on a good amount of time also.

Rimmel London Pencil Eyeliner Black; I use this when I can't be bothered to put liquid/gel eyeliner on on my top eyelids and my bottom eyelids just to make my eyes look bigger, it easily applies to the eyes and stays on most of the day.

Front Cover Eye shadow Pallet; I got given this on my birthday, I never used it a lot as I wasn't sure how to do any looks with a big amount of eye shadow, I use it more and more now and I think the colours are amazing, there are so many different colours and apply so easily, I also think the names are really cool as well. With it you get a little eye shadow compact which you can choose four to put in if your going away and don't have enough room to keep the whole case.

Hope you enjoyed this quick blog!

Most of them are still available in shops, (boots, super-drug, supermarkets etc) I'm unsure about the Eye Shadows though, I'm sure a quick Google search will answer that though, the wonders on technology aye!

Favourite Nail Products...

My Favourite Nail Products Right Now...

Hi Guys!

Here are some of my favourtie nail products right now;

I like many other people absolutely love Barry M, I love the different colours they have and how they finish on my nails, I find that they don't chips easily and dry quickly, which is great for me as I become very inpaitent when waiting for my nails to dry. They are also quite cheap and last a long time!

                                                                       (304 Mint green)
                                                                     (GNP 5 Blueberry)
                                                                  (GNP 6 Prickly Pear)
                                                                    (303 Bright Purple)
                                                                     (GNP 10 Lychee)
                                                                   (291 Colbat Blue)
                                                                     (341 Cappucino)
These are my most used Barry M nail varnishes, I also love the type they have which is called Gel Nail Varnish, I love the way it shines when it dries. I have colours for spring/summer time (top three) and the rest I use in the Autumn/Winter especially when I'm going out to set off my outfit.

I also sometimes 'decorate' my nails with products I have bought;

                                                            (Ordered off Amazon; £3.69)
(Avon Nail Varnish £2.99 at the time)
(Avon Nail Gems; £2.00 at the time)
(Amazon Nail Gems, can't find price)

(Nail Tweezers, came with Avon nail gems)

                                                      (Avon nail sprinkles, currently £1.50)
I was off ill from work recently and decided I wanted to try some nail gems out, I regularly painted my nails and decorated them! So I decided to order some gems from Avon and Amazon, I only did simple designs such as above but I find that they look nice, especially if you are going on a nice night out or for a meal. I also found the nail tweezers that came with the Avon Nail Gems so useful as they easily pick up the small gems and make it easier to place on your nails. Once I have applied the gems I find that applying a clear top coat stops the gems falling off.

To place the gems on my nails I choose a base colour and any shaped gem I wanted to put on top of the colour, usually I used the colour gems in the summer, to go with any summery outfits. I also used the silver gems if I was going out or had dark colours in my outfit.

Also pictured above is the Avon nail sprinkles, I found these so hard to apply at first but once I got used to it I find it so easy, I apply a base coat of the colour I prefer (I used black when I recently used it as I haven't got the right shade of purple) as soon as I had applied the base colour I sprinkled the sprinkles over my nail (I would advise doing this on a trayas it gets quite messy) I then let it dry when it dried I applied a small amount of clear top coat to make sure that the sprinkles don't fall off.

I would recommend anyone who is thinking of looking into doing their own nails to buy off of Amazon or Avon, you get the best for a little amount of money!

Hope you enjoyed this little insight to my favourite nail products right now!

Favourite Jewellery Pieces...

My Favourtie Jewellery Pieces...

Hi Guys!

I know I've posted a few blogs in the past 3 days but I won't be able to upload as much during the week as college work needs to be done.
So I thought I'd let you all know my favourite pieces of jewellery that I own, some are every day items I wear and some are my favourite costume jewellery.

I'll start off with my day to day items, everyday I wear my Pandora rings, both who I got off of my boyfriend for Christmas 2013 and our 2nd year anniversary...
                                                    Pave Heart Ring

                                                    (Pandora; Delicate Heart Ring)

I love both of these rings as they aren't too 'blingy' they're simple and I think they are quite cute, as I wear them day to day I find they don't look over the top for everyday jewellery. I did originally want the clear heart for the Delicate Heart Ring but they couldn't find one small enough to fit me, but now I'm glad I've got the red one as it adds a little splash of colour.

I also wear from day to day my Thomas Sabbo Charm Bracelet, I love my charm bracelet and I don't wear it everyday of the year but I do wear it often, I am scared of it breaking or snapping when I'm out I would be devastated if I lost my bracelet.
I love literally everything about my charm bracelet, yet again my boyfriend bought me this for Christmas 2012 but I have been bought charms for special occasions such as anniversary's with my boyfriend, Christmas and birthdays, every one of the charms mean something to me, I have a heart, snowflake, lucky horse shoe, music note, Eiffel tower, and a pearl. The way they are made I feel they are just so delicate and lovely and its just something nice to have to wear, it isn't distracting or irritating when wearing it and its a lovely piece of jewellery to have if your going somewhere special or everyday jewellery that isn't costume.

I also have a necklace that I wear to special occasions which was given to me Christmas 2013 yet again by my lovely boyfriend, I don't like over the top excessive necklaces as it irritates my neck, the necklace (below) is just perfect for me, its lovely, and small but looks bright. Perfect to wear to any family occasion or dates with my boyfriend as my neck doesn't look bare but it doesn't look filled up with 'blingy' makeup.

Next onto my favourite costume jewellery I love necklaces when I'm going out on a night out (which I admit isn't often but still) I feel a nice necklace is the key to an outift, find the favourites below;

I love all these three, as they are small and lovely, I actually can't remember where I got them from, I have a feeling it was either forever 21 or Miss Selfridge,I got them a few years back, I also like them because the chains aren't too long.

Lastly I want to talk about one of the most treasured pieces of jewellery to me;
The picture above is a locket that my Granddad gave to my Nan many years before I was born, my Nan gave this to me a few years ago after I told her I sometimes get upset that I never really got to meet my Granddad, he unfortunately died of cancer when I was 4 months old, so my Granddad met me but I will never remember, inside I have a picture of my Granddad, this is the most treasured item to me and I sadly rarely wear it because I'm scared of losing it as it means so much to me, but it is never far away from me, its my lucky charm that I take to any places where I'm nervous or taking exams, just so I feel like I have my Granddad with me <3

I hope you enjoyed this little segment, any of the Thomas Sabbo Charms can be found on the Thomas Sabbo website, as with the Pandora rings, if you are ever stuck for a meaningful present I would recommend looking on their websites, as they are lovely sentimental presents that can be reasonable prices.

My Favourite Book Right Now...

Let It Snow...

Hi Guys!

I love reading, I can get through so many books at a time, recently I have been loving John Green books, yes I know, 'you only like John Green because of The Fault in Our Stars' but honestly, I had heard of John Green but didn't take any interest as he is described as a teen fiction writer, but after seeing 'The Fault in Our Stars' I thought I would purchase some of his books to read.

I did read Looking for Alsaka first but I want to read it again before I do a review of it, so I went shopping to my local WHsmith store and they had John Greens books on one shelf, also for offer, buy one and get one free, I do like me a bargain! Anyway, I'm going off tangent..I bought an Abundance of Katherines and Let It Snow. I found that I was drawn to Let it Snow as the cover is lovely and quite Christmassy, which I loved as I am a big Christmas fan! I was also interested by the name. (Photos will be at the bottom)

Let It Snow is written by a trio of authors, John Green, ,Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, I was a bit put off by the fact it wasn't purely written by John Green and I honestly haven't heard anything of these other authors. On the blurb what got my attention was;

'As the three stories collide, strangers cross path and romance blossoms with heart-warming consequences'

This is what got my attention, I presumed they would be writing the book together, but as I started reading I realised each author had written a small segment of a different story but they all join, I thought it was very clever, they all wrote about young love stories (which I love, I do love a good soppy love story) although I did find it hard to remember the names of each character when they crossed over into the other segments of the book, I found I couldn't put the book down, I had to find out who Jeb was looking for, and why Jubilee was still with her arrogant boyfriend whilst Stuart was obviously the right person for him. I'm not going to mention any more characters as it will ruin the book. I also found that the titles of the authors sections were clever and once you get into the book you understand the titles more.

To my surprise, out of the three writers I found Maureen Johnson's section the one I read the fastest, it was a page turner, don't get me wrong all of them were amazing but Maureen Johnson had the 'I don't want to put the book down' factor.

If you like a good romance story or want to discover more authors whilst reading from one of your favourite authors I do recommend this book, its heart warming, enjoyable and has some funny parts.

I hope you enjoyed my little not so review of 'Let It Snow' I am currently reading 'An Abundance of Katherines'  and will write my views of that book also, and I hope to re-read 'Looking for Alsaka'

I know my blog is very strange with different subjects but I hope you enjoyed this and I will upload another blog later or tomorrow.

Anxiety and going out...

Anxiety and going out...

Hi Guys!

I suffer really bad with anxiety and a little bit of depression, since I was about 14 I have suffered with anxiety, I used to be scared to go on buses, trains or even walk round on my own, I wouldn't sit in a cinema with a group of friends because I thought something drastic was going to happen, which obviously made my teenage years very difficult as I wouldn't join in or go out with my friends so I'd be missing out on a lot of things. When I started my first college it kind of subsided, but after a year it came back really badly, this then affected my college work meaning I had to drop out, this happened 3 times to me meaning I dropped out of college three times which obviously didn't help my confidence as I felt like a failure. So I got myself a part time job and struggled on not letting anyone know...

When I reached 18 I could start going out and drinking (UK legal age) but I wouldn't as my anxiety would stop me, when I reached 19 it was a totally different story, I pushed everything to the back of my mind and went out every weekend getting so drunk I couldn't remember what I did the next day, I only got to that extent because if I didn't I'd be anxious and have numerous panic attacks, so every Saturday I'd go to the same club to get cheap drinks and absolutely hammered, that was until I met my now boyfriend on one of these nights out, 2 years later I am a totally different person, he has helped me so much and I got so much better to the point I would go on long trips out on my own with no problem.

After 2 years we are still together and happier than ever, but something happened to me to make me ill again, I now suffer with anxiety and panic attacks due to bullying which has happened in the last few months, by someone who should have known better, but with the help of my boyfriend my best friend and my family I finally bucked up the courage and went to the doctor, I am now on tablets for my anxiety and panic attacks, yes they're not going to work straight away but I feel they are slowly but surely helping me.

I went out tonight and actually enjoyed myself without having on panic attack before hand or after, I am so proud of myself and I wanted to write this quickly just to anyone who suffers with anxiety or depression or any form of mental illness just to know, you're not alone, you can get help and the sooner you do it the better, my life has been changed and its not going to work over night, but trust me, you will get there.

I hope you all enjoyed reading this, and I hope it helped someone or many people.

Everyday Make-up Products...

Hi Guys!

I don'y usually go OTT on my makeup if I'm going out to the shops or just a casual day seeing friends, basically, I can't be bothered if its not anywhere special, so I thought I'd show you all what products I use and why I'd recommend them.

Firstly I put my foundation on, the foundation I use is the 'Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation' in 103 true ivory as I'm quite pale and don't feel anything darker would suit me. I was a bit worried about using this foundation as I've had trouble with breakouts from other Rimmel foundations, but as I watch YouTube videos I had seen that Tanya Burr and Zoe Sugg had suggested it, to my delight it is fantastic, it doesn't make my skin oily and hasn't caused me to break out in any spots, I also feel it gives amazing coverage if I do have any blemishes, so all in all I would recommend it.

I then go to my eyes, I like to apply a small amount of eye shadow to my eyes, as I have blue eyes I like to go for copper/bronze colours as it brings the blue out brighter in my eyes, so I use 'Colour tattoo 24 hour' by EyeStudio,in 35- On and on Bronze I absolutely adore this eye shadow, its creamy and so easy to apply if your in a rush, it also makes my eyes pop, I've never used a creamy eye shadow before until my friend recommended it and honestly I am gutted that I can't find anymore colours I like due to lack of stock in my local SuperDrug stores, I then go onto apply a winged eyeliner to my eye as I've now mastered the art of applying gel eyeliner (after so many YouTube tutorials) I use 'Waterproof eyeliner Barry M' I use this in number 1, which is black, I find this is so easy to apply as many people will know gel eyeliner isn't the easiest to apply and the brush they give with it is okay but I would recommend buying your own as it is small and hard to hold, but I find that this eyeliner is so good, it stays on for the whole day and is indeed waterproof. I then use 'Rimmel Volume Flash Macara x10'  I use this in black, as I have long eyelashes I don't have to apply loads to my eyes it also gives them volume, which I absolutely adore.

Lastly I apply a little bit of bronzer and blusher to T zone and cheeks, to just give me a bit of colour in my cheeks and face, for the bronzer I use 'Max Factor bronzer'  in 02 bronze I like this as it just gives me a nice glow and doesn't make me have an orange tint. For the blusher I use 'Max Factor Flawless Perfection' in 237 Naturelle, I usually struggle with blushers as I don't like my cheeks to be really pink, but I found this to just give me a natural blush and I love it.

Below are pictures of all the products I use;

I hope you enjoyed reading this post on my everyday makeup products, I will try and update the blog as much as possible. Leave any suggestions in the comments of what products you use or any recommended products.
