Favourite Movies!
Hi guys!
I just want to talk about my favourite NON Disney movies, I haven't added them in as I will be doing a blog about my favourite Disney movies in the near future! Anyway!
Number 1
'The Sound of Music'
Ever since I was little I have been obsessed with The Sound of Music, I love musicals and I have even seen it on stage! Everything about the movie I love, I used to watch it on VHS at my nans every Sunday, I know all the words, pretty much all the script, if you love a good musical and a good romantic film this is honestly the best option, also Julie Andrews is in it, who is AMAZING.
Number 2.
'The Breakfast Club'
I just love how simple the story line is in this film, yet its really good, who knew? A film about kids in detention could be so good! I think its funny and I love all the characters, especially the ending! Would recommend watching!
Number 3.
'Mrs Doubtfire'
This was the film I watched straight after The Sound of Music on a Sunday when I was at my nans when I was a kid, I think it was such a funny film and great story line, and of course Robin Williams made that film, I absolutely loved Robin Williams and in all honesty he was the reason I watched that film, and it broke my heart when he passed away.
Number 4&5.
'Mary Poppins' & 'Saving Mr Banks'
There is a reason these are two together, I love Mary Poppins, I used to watch this every week at my house, I loved everything about it, the story line, the imagination factor, everything about it made me smile. Obviously Saving Mr Banks came out last year, this film is about the woman who wrote Mary Poppins, its honestly the one film that can make me cry every time I watch it, it is nothing like Mary Poppins, its quite dark and lonely, is a way I would describe it, but if you love Mary Poppins you HAVE to watch it, it is such an eye opener, and will make you cry.
Number 6.
'Dangerous Minds'
Last but not least, I love this film, I think I come across it a few years ago when I was up late at night an looking for something to watch, this is such a hard hitting film, I love it, it did make me cry at the end the first time but from then I only tear up, it is a film I can watch over and over again.
Anyway, if you have any films to recommend, let me know in the comments, and try these ones!
Until next time
Abbi
xoxo
