Hi Guys!
Inside out is a genius film invented in the amazing mind of Pete Docter (the one who tugs at our heart strings in everything he writes, for example, UP.) like many of Pixars other movies Inside Out makes us and children believe that our mind isn't what it seems, and in fact we have five little people things running round our head controlling our thoughts, we have Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust.
Inside Out lets us into the mind of a young girl called Riley, her family pull her from her roots and move her to a different part of the country, and we see how these little things in her mind cope, in the first half of the movie, its not as light hearted as usual from Pixar but compared to the second half, this is as light hearted as it gets, you don't really get to form an attachment to any character as the scenes swap from one to another very quickly, which sometimes left me wanting more from said scene but thats something you come to terms with eventually.
Initially you think Inside Out is going to be another childs film you are going to enjoy for the pure factor you now understand all them jokes you wouldn't have if you were a kid, but it comes to light that this is a deep and emotional film which will in toll help children come to terms with their emotions and how everyone has them and these feelings are normal, which I think is a major score fro Pixar, in todays age we need something reassuring like that for our future generation, growing up is such a confusing time for children, be this from feelings to emotions they may be hiding, this film highlights, its okay to be happy or its okay to be sad or fear things in life, because thats normal. So well done to you Pixar *claps hands*
I do feel however children may become bored during some scenes because they are quite deep, although I feel this will be one of those films that children will watch over and over again so it will get to them eventually. I do feel this will open doors for some children who are getting to that age of feeling fear, anxiety, depression and anger or even too much happiness and want to talk to their parents about these feelings from seeing it on the big screen.
I would rate this a massive 9/10 and how amazing Pixar have been to make a film to ressure children having emotions are perfectly fine, its also a good watch and didnt feel myself getting bored at all.
Until next time
